ORIGINA and TECHNICAL
Coutelier Fontenille Pataud, since 1920 Master Artisan graduate
All our blades are finely affixed by a qualified tailor. The quality of steel, triangular grinding and polishing will help you to sharpen and prolong the cutting. Springs and blades pass through a heated oven to more than 1000°, before being cooled brutally. Depending on the nature of the piece (exit, blade ...) and its composition (carbon steel, stainless steel) the dip is different (temperature, oil/water/air...). The dipped parts (here springs) are precipitated in an oil bath to give them strength and flexibility. The blades are then "billed": the hardness expressed in Rockwell (HRC) is controlled.
